Terms of Service

1. What Snipp is

Snipp is a technology platform that helps customers discover salons and barbers, book slots, join live walk-in queues, and pay; and helps partner businesses manage bookings, GST billing, payouts and a subdomain storefront. Services are provided by independent salons and barbers ("Partners"), not by Snipp. We are not a party to the service contract between you and a Partner and do not provide grooming services ourselves.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old, or use the Platform under the supervision of a parent or guardian, to create an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you provide and for activity under your account. Keep your login credentials and OTP secure; notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

We verify mobile numbers by OTP and may verify additional details for Partners (such as GSTIN, address and bank account) before activating a listing.

3. Bookings & the walk-in queue

When you confirm a slot booking or join a live queue, you enter into a service arrangement directly with the Partner. Each Partner sets its own services, prices, hours and cancellation window, all of which are shown to you before you confirm. A slot is held for a short period while you complete payment; if the hold expires the slot may be released to other customers.

For live walk-in queues, your position is an estimate and may change with actual service times. You may leave the queue before being called at no charge.

4. Pricing, payments & GST

Prices are set by Partners and displayed inclusive of applicable taxes before you confirm. Salon services are taxed at the applicable GST rate (currently 5% with no input tax credit). A platform convenience fee may be shown separately. Payments are processed through regulated third-party payment providers (such as UPI, cards and net banking); we do not store your full card details.

GST-compliant invoices for completed services are issued by the Partner through the Platform's billing tools. Every payment, settlement and refund is recorded against an append-only transaction ledger; we never silently alter a prior charge — corrections are made as new reversal entries.

5. Cancellations & refunds

Cancellations, reschedules, no-shows and refunds are governed by our Cancellation & No-show Policy and Refund Policy, which form part of these Terms. The free-cancellation window and any late-cancellation or no-show charge are shown before you confirm a booking.

6. Your responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information, arrive on time for bookings, treat Partner staff with respect, and use the Platform only for lawful purposes. You must not attempt to defraud Partners or Snipp, scrape or misuse the Platform, post fake or incentivised reviews, or circumvent the Platform to avoid fees on bookings originated through Snipp.

7. Partner terms

If you list a business, the Partner Policy applies in addition to these Terms and covers onboarding and verification, commission and fees, payout cycles, GST billing, conduct standards and suspension. You list as an independent service provider; Snipp is not your employer or agent.

8. Reviews & content

Customers who complete a booking may rate and review a Partner. You grant Snipp a non-exclusive licence to display content you submit (such as reviews and profile photos) in connection with the Platform. We may remove content that is unlawful, misleading, or in breach of our community guidelines.

9. Intellectual property

The Platform, including its design system, software, trademarks and brand, is owned by Snipp or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our marks or content except as needed to use the Platform as intended.

10. Disclaimers & liability

The Platform is provided on an "as is" basis. Snipp does not warrant the quality, safety or outcome of any service provided by a Partner; that responsibility rests with the Partner. To the extent permitted by law, Snipp's aggregate liability arising from your use of the Platform is limited to the amount of fees we earned on the relevant transaction. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, fraud, repeated no-shows, safety complaints, or where required by law. You may close your account at any time; obligations relating to completed transactions, outstanding payments and the ledger survive termination.

12. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable consumer-protection law, disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at our registered office. We encourage you to contact support first — most issues are resolved quickly through our grievance process.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Platform evolves. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Platform after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
