Snipp is a marketplace that connects you with independent salons and barbers. Each salon sets its own cancellation window, which is always shown to you on the booking screen before you confirm and pay. This policy explains the platform-wide rules that apply on top of a salon's individual settings.
1. Free-cancellation window
Most salons offer free cancellation up to a set time before your appointment — commonly 2 to 4 hours for a fixed slot. If you cancel within that window, you are charged nothing and any amount you paid online is refunded in full to your original payment method.
You can cancel or reschedule from My Bookings in two taps. Rescheduling to a later available slot at the same salon is always free and does not count as a cancellation.
2. Late cancellation
If you cancel after the free-cancellation window has closed, the salon may charge a late-cancellation fee — typically up to 25% of the booked service value, or a flat amount the salon has configured. The exact fee is displayed before you confirm the booking, so there are no surprises.
3. No-shows
A booking is treated as a no-show if you do not arrive within 15 minutes of your slot and have not cancelled. To protect stylists' reserved time, a no-show may be charged up to 50% of the service value, or the full amount for premium and at-home services, as set by the salon.
Repeated no-shows may lead to a requirement to pre-pay for future bookings, or to temporary suspension of your Snipp account.
4. Walk-in queue tokens
For live walk-in queues, you can leave the queue at any time before you are called at no charge. If you are called and do not respond within the salon's call window, your token may lapse and the next customer is served. No fee applies to lapsed queue tokens unless the salon required a booking deposit.
5. Cancellations by the salon
Occasionally a salon may have to cancel — for example, a stylist falls ill or the salon closes unexpectedly. When a salon cancels a confirmed booking, you receive a full refund of any amount paid, and we will help you find a comparable slot nearby wherever possible.
6. Refund timelines
Eligible refunds are initiated immediately on cancellation and credited to your original payment method — typically within 3–5 business days for UPI and 5–7 business days for cards, depending on your bank. GST and any platform convenience fee charged on the original booking are refunded in proportion to the refunded amount, in line with applicable tax rules.
Refunds are issued as new ledger entries against the original transaction; we never silently alter a prior charge. You can view the status of any refund in your booking history.
7. Disputes
If you believe a cancellation or no-show charge was applied incorrectly, contact support within 7 days of the charge with your booking reference. We will review the salon's policy, the booking timeline and the payment record, and resolve it fairly — including reversing the charge where the policy was not met.
